Ramsey County has probably the largest single-municipality rink system in the U.S.
Arenas are aging, populations change and now the old refrigerant is being phased out.

Very interesting read as it combines the history and the almost certain future. The fate of the old Columbia heights arena may be an indication of what will be happening to arena's across the State.
