Hockey gear storage in apt building

I'm moving into an apartment, from a house, and the bf and I are wondering about hockey gear solutions. I have a hockey tree and he currently keeps his on a shelf in his garage (warm weather) or laundry room (cold weather). In a smaller space, though, I don't care for the idea of the space 2 sets will take up, nor the aromas. How do other people handle this?

I always kept my gear in the car, and only brought it inside for cleaning or replacements.

Ozone generator and fan in a closed closet - hang the gear creatively. Run the Ozone machine for ninety minutes (use an Xmas light timer) - leave the fan run all the time. The moving air will get in between the narrow spaces better than your think. Put your gloves and skates as close to the fan as possible.

As GE said, keep the air moving over and through the gear. Face glove and skate openings towards the air flow. You should have dry gear in less that 2 hours. I do this in a smallish area with my goalie gear and it dries in less than 4 hours. I also run a dehumidifier down there too since it's the basement. The smell is nonexistent though my glove innards are starting to smell since it can't be opened up all the way. Once a year or so the chest protector and gloves are Esporta washed at Boehms.

Rocket dryers work wonders to dry gear. Even goalie gear. Except the leg pads, they have to dry separately.

Coincidentally, I do have a near new condition Rocket Sport Dryer for sale. Maybe, $40? I never use it though it works well and would keep the smell and space to a minimum. I personally just found I'm too lazy to hang everything up.
