David Larva
Myself and two other Active Reserve Technicians (ARTs) from Minneapolis Air Station put together a charity hockey game to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project. We have never done anything like this and it has been a huge learning curve for us. We would appreciate all the support we can get. The game is free and we will be collecting donations. Those who donate will receive a ticket for a raffle. We have involvement from Lettermen Sports, Dave's Sports Shop, Buffalo Wild Wings, Famous Dave's, Weng's Kitchen, Jimmy Johns, Little Cesar's and Von Hanson's. The players will be reservist from Minneapolis Air Station and some local celebrities. Should be a fun game to watch as we have more than a few unit rivalries. Also, Jack Carlson (former North Star, and one of the 'Carlson Brothers' that the Hanson brothers in Slap Shot were based off of) will be one of our referees.
The game is October 5th from 7pm - 9pm at Wakota Civic Arena.
