JMS Hockey

Whew! Been working on the October schedule all day -- 15 rinks is a lot to keep track of. These 15 arenas don't work together -- one might send the entire season, another might send month by month, and only when I request it (sometimes have to do that more than once). Often this time of year we're waiting on the youth associations to figure out their signups and from that, their icetime needs. Kids get first pick, and then adults have to take what's left. Sometimes it takes a while to figure out what exactly is left, and a lot of times that means some late starts. There's just nothing we can do about any of that. Many thanks to the JMSers who understand the work involved and that there are forces beyond our control. WHAT'S NOT POSTED YET (Saturday, Sept. 16 @ 5 p.m.): *Apple Valley -- requested/hoping for a new October schedule; the original start times (sent at the beginning of August) were later than we'd hope, but there was a possibility they'd move earlier after the youth association looked at their needs. Crossing fingers the reply will be good news. *Eden Prairie -- anticipated minor tweaks to October schedule; have requested update before posting and then having to go back and change it and alert everyone, etc. *Maple Grove -- concerns here; we were booked for our usual times, then it seems the association requested more ice. And they always get first dibs, even if we're already booked--we just get shoved back. Working on this now with solutions I won't go into here. Again, much appreciating anyone who doesn't get shouty at JMS over this issue that we can't control. *Tartan/Polar -- game at Tartan moves to Polar starting in October; just awaiting new schedule, will post it the evening that I get it. *Woodbury -- requested October schedule; anticipated receipt early next week and again I will rush home to post it for ya that evening. Tuesday AM update: EP now posted. Have schedules from AV and MG, discussing late start options with those rinks. Tartan/Polar -- discussing arena construction issues with the rink, how they will affect our schedule.

AV now posted. MG now posted -- we will have some late starts at this rink due to the youth association taking a lot more ice than originally expected. Comments and details on individual games. Woodbury now posted. Only waiting on Tartan/Polar at this point -- hope to have that soon. Still working on it.
