JMS Hockey

Hi folks, I have tubs and tubs of jerseys people have donated to JMS over the years. Some are plain, some have different-colored shoulders, a few are NHL teams or local high schools. They're all in pretty good shape--I threw out anything ratty. I would love to get them in the hands of JMSers who might like them, but I don't have time to catalogue them all, or organize individual handoff rendezvous (and shipping is out, too). Unfortunately, I also don't have time to haul a carload (there's that many) around to games on the off chance that somebody there will want one. I hate waste and don't want to pitch them, but I don't know how to repurpose them. Oh, I have tried donating to hockey groups and the unanimous answer is "We have enough already!" Any suggestions? ***NOTE*** This thread is a discussion about repurposing old jerseys--I will remove/relocate anything off topic. Please feel free to contact support about off-topic stuff!

I use a lot of hockey jerseys in my artwork, mostly as source material. I've been trying to stockpile a collection to start using them directly in the work. So I would gladly take any or all off your hands (especially the ones of teams). You could check out my work at www.colevittetoe.com.

You could ask a few captains to pick some up and distribute them at games. The captains could ask if anyone needs a light or dark jersey over the next few weeks, tally results and pick some up from you.

I could definitely use an extra goalie cut jersey if there are any available. Do you happen to have any?

I was thinking give some to the captains as well. It might be a hassle for them, but us skaters would love it!!

I need a lighter white. Mine is to hot.

I always like to have a couple extra jerseys in my bag in case anyone else is short. Im usually in the south cities area to skate or I can come pick them up at some point.

Thanks for the suggestions -- I was trying to get rid of them en masse. I am so busy with the more important aspects of JMS (scheduling ice, paying the bills, etc.) that I don't have time to invest in getting rid of a few here or there. But! I gave Captain L a big bag for Cole, and I pulled out three MN high school jerseys for Christopher. All the rest are gone, thanks for the help! BG
