Hi, i'm considering signing up for the the wakota 2/3 league and i saw the schedule come out this morning. Are the games on December 6 playoffs or anything like that or will they just be the final regular season game with the two top teams playing the following week? Thanks!

Hi Wess, thanks for considering Wakota! Right now, our leagues consist of 9 regular season games, and then a championship for the top two teams. Your team will play each of the other teams 3 times. The december 6th games are the last regular season games. Then the top two teams from the regular season will meet in the championship. You'll find a lot more information about the Wakota league by clicking on this link: http://jmshockey.com/league/clubs/wakota-2-3-fall-15 Feel free to contact me directly with questions, or reply to this post. When/how are the teams chosen? I signed up pretty early to grab one of the level 3 spots, but haven't heard about which team I'll be on. Also, I'm assuming I'll be able to pick up the sweaters at the first game? Also also, for whichever team I am on, I'll apologize in advance for however I play in the first game; I'm signed up to run a 10 mile race earlier that day, so I might not skate as hard as I usually do, but I'll be better week two ;)

I have to wait until I get all of the registrations and friend requests in before I can make teams. We really try and make sure friend requests are honored, which will push finalizing team rosters until a few days before the season starts. Also, you will be getting your jerseys the night of the first game. Out of curiosity, have you received the league emails I have sent out to registered players in the last couple of weeks??? Don't worry for a minute about being a bit tired your first game. We are a very laid back league...guys are out to get some exercise and have a good time!

Sounds good. I was starting to worry that the league wasn't filling up. I've not been getting any of those emails, no. This is actually why I wanted to sign up for a 1-2-3 league first. I've played in leagues before where it starts laid back, then one team decides to go crazy, then the other teams have to try to catch up and it becomes no fun at all. I've had nothing but good experiences with JMS across the board, but I'm still a bit gun-shy about joining a higher level league just yet.
