How novice is novice

Questions for everyone. I just recently found out about this group (moved from ND recently) I signed up for the 101 skills to basically become better and learn more about the game. My question is how novice are the novice games? Would I be out of place if I signed up for a game or two before the skills sessions started? Any help is appreciated.

You likely would be just fine
Novice is level 1 and 2 ... If you look at the quotas you can even see how many of each have signed up but either way they will be evenly distributed between the teams
