Hey Hockey Ladies! How would you like to march/inline skate on our WHAM float at this year's Pride Parade? We are so excited to be a part of this fun event and to raise awareness for the women's hockey opportunities provided by WHAM Hockey. The parade is Sunday, June 29th 11:00 am and winds through downtown, finishing at Loring Park. We'll be 65 skaters/marchers, attired in WHAM or hockey apparel/ jerseys...with our hockey sticks too, of course. We'll be accompanied by a classic 1966 Mustang and will be stopping strategic points along the way to demo passing (with tennis balls) and stickhandling. We'll also be handing out WHAM bracelets and candy to the anticipated crowd of over 50,000 parade-goers! You do not have to be a member of the LGBT community to participate; all supporters are welcome to participate in this parade. Your teammates, female hockey pals, partners and kids age 18+ are welcome too. C'mon out and show your WHAM hockey Pride and help spread the word about women's hockey opportunities through WHAM!!
