Greetings:) I just started the fantastic world of hockey and a goalie at that! I am looking for a team who are friendly and okay with a goalie who sometimes forgets to patch the hole in there glove and is a girl:) I live in Eagan and am okay to travel a bit. I do work every other weekend. I am a faithful player at the Eagan Civic center every Friday:) Feel free to contact me : stumptownboy@hotmail.com

Are you in the good graces with the AHA? I mean, like did you evaluate at C3 level? Have you signed up with them this season as a sub? We might need a sub goalie for our C3 team from time to time. I bet you could play with a lot of teams that way. But I the season is a couple of games underway, so I don't know of anyone looking for a full time goalie.

I have evaluated as c3 in WHAM...I am new, I am going on the assumption that they are the same grades in both men and women. Otherwise I evaluated as level 2 for goalie. I would be happy with some pick up covergaes. Also hoping for a team in the next season

C3 in WHAM and C3 in the AHA are quite different, as the AHA has "D" levels that are for less experienced players than their "C" levels. WHAM C3 would correspond to AHA Beginner School or possibly D2. If you are just starting out, the AHA Beginner School is really great. They have a separate goalie coach for just two goalies, so you get tons of individual attention and you get in on the ground floor of starting a new team. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe all the AHA D2 teams already have a goalie. If you do want to play in the AHA, other than in Beginner School, you will need to evaluate with them. Or, you could try WHAM. It looks like there are some WHAM teams that still need a goalie (http://www.whamhockey.org/page/show/114143-teams-looking-for-players-). Good luck!

Greetings Sue Thanks for tons of great info. I am glad for the help:) I do have a team I play on in WHAM. They are a great group of gals:) I was hoping for some more ice time and another team to play on also. I most certainly will have to check out the AHA Beginner School. I have been playing a goalie with the lessons I watch on U-Tube:) Also the lessons I get on the ice on Fridays:) Thanks Again. I appreciate all the info I get.
