I want to try goalie, but don't want to buy pads. Does anyone know of any options for renting or trying gear?

Barbara Garn has some goalie gear that she kindly lends out to people who'd like to try playing goalie a few times before deciding whether to invest in their own gear (that's how I got started). You could try contacting her through the "Get Support" feature to ask about borrowing equipment.

Ron... What Sue said. I also have a set of pads and gloves you could use. I doubt my chest protector would fit you though! You can use your regular skates and helmet.
Also, no more Bulldogs!?!?!?
