St. Paul Skates

My buddy and I have noticed that there are 0 skates that allow for skaters above level 3 to play somewhere around South St. Paul/North St. Paul/Maplewood area but there are quite a few LL skates in those areas. (Yes I am a level 3 but my buddy is a level 4 and we like to skate together whenever possible). My purpose isn't to complain I'm just curious if there is an interest among level 4+ skaters to play in this area (i.e. Wakota/Polar/Vadnais) and wondering if there is a reason skaters of that level are pretty much left with only western suburb skates. I would love to hear from any skaters that have interest in intermediate/upper level/all level skates in this area, and I would also love to hear from Barb or anyone else that represents JMS if there is a reason why it is set up this way. Look forward to hearing feedback from everyone. Thanks! -Joe

Joe, Of course, we'd love to be able to have a skate in the right spot for everyone, but there's a lot of factors that go into scheduling a game: what ice is available, what price it's at, what time slots are available, how many players we have in the region, what other skates it's competing against on that night of the week, etc. We do our best to analyze all this data and pick skates based on how successful we think the game is going to be. We just can't book ice on the whim that we think a game might do well - we need data to support this assumption AND the ice needs to be available for us to actually book. Right now we don't have a lot of data suggesting a St Paul / East metro UL / L3 skate will be a success. Level 3 players have the highest number of games available to them of all the levels though, so you're not that out of luck. I've attached a couple games in your area that might be a good fit for you. Additionally, as noted on the games list, there is a Polar upper level game coming at the end of October. -Andy
