JMS Hockey

I'm moving to Los Angeles very soon for school and am having a tough time finding a pick-up league similar to JMS. I don't play in a scheduled league because of the time constraints, so I'm just looking for pick-up games where I can sign up whenever I have the time. I'm a goalie, so I'm also looking for something that's free/low cost. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I know there is a Wayne Gretzky Center in Rancho Cucamonga that does inline hockey. I've heard there is ice time at an arena in Anaheim, but ice is hard to come by. Found this old post on the Goalie Store Board too... Here's the low down. Best league is Toyota Sport Center (Kings practice facilites) Elite Div. The 2nd is Gold A Div. Players play on both but the Elite teams are all sponsered and guys are always in and out. It all depends who is out there. Any team can beat any other team. In the summer team It gets really crazy and the NHL pros comes out for a couple of game and play usually defense. The college guys are all back here like sterling and every other elite player. (pretty good mix levels) Pasadena - very lame pickup monday night 8:30 burbank tues and thurs morning 11:15am- mostly self employed people and hollywood people (good to practice and break in new gear , nothing too exciting) burbank tue night same group of people as morning- rotation of players(pRIvate) Wed burbank (public) clinic and pickup at 930pm Thurs pasadena clinic and pickup 10:00pm public Friday panaroma 10:00 when we organized it. If you don't know anyone in the area then "no" you won't get any private ice. All the good hockey is by people you know. Its all the same circle.
