I go to signup at midnight and the game is full?!?!?

Can someone please confirm for me that the games are posted at midnight? And if so, how can there be 18 skaters signed up and my level's quota full at midnight?!?!?

Games are now put up two weeks in advance?!?!?

Yes, games are posted well ahead of time. Better know your life schedule for the next 3-4 weeks!

When did they start that and why wasn't I notified? ;^P

Steve, This is so. Like. Five days ago! Read all about it at http://jmshockey.wordpress.com/2013/04/14/early-signup-and-backup-goalie-features/ You may also see a few bright comments here and there, but all in all we've had a tremendous amount of positive feedback. Although change is hard for a handful of people, and that's understandable, the vast majority is leaning to roll with the evolution of jms. Hope you do too. See the announcement from Andy: http://jmshockey.wordpress.com/2013/04/14/early-signup-and-backup-goalie-features/ Best, Ml

It doesnt matter for me cause this site won't let me sign up for anything. I am either to skilled or don't have enough...doesn't ALL LEVEL mean all level and UPPER LEVEL mean upper level? If so I am not sure why it won't let me sign up for games at WAK or STA. It says I am not eligible cause these games are geared towards lower level participants. WTF is wrong with this site?

When it is ALL Level or Upper Level... or skates with multiple levels... there are a certain number of skaters per level limited to sign up. So if there are 21 skater spots for an UPPER level skate, maybe 5 can be Elite skaters, 10 L5 skaters and 6 L4 skaters. If the quota for the level you skate at is full for that skate, then you cannot sign up. BUT, if it is game day and there are still openings, email JMS and ask to play.

@ Alex, Nothing is, or rarely anything is, wrong with the site. Here is some clarity for you. It appears that you are assessed at a JMS L5/6* - which is the very top end of this adult beginner hockey community - welcome to JMS! *Note that the jms-parity-system puts you into an L6 slot for the game quotas. As you have already discovered, we sometimes call "all level" a session that is open to levels 1-2-3-4-5 OR sometimes it means levels 1-2-3-4-5-6 games {you skated at one of these}. I think that is at the heart of your wtf. Elite sessions have been, so far L4-5-6 {you skated at one of these also}. So, what to do? #1 Look for the sessions that accommodates L6 skaters - which most often are called ELITE sessions. But not always as you know. You can see this by looking at the quota section of each skate. If there are no L6 spots available, that session either has enough L6's or L6 is not open for the session. or #2) I would suggest that you filter the "games" page by checking the "Qualified games only" and then you will see clearly wtf = ONLY the games that you are eligible to play in. Hope that helps.

Hey all, thanks for the input and helping Steve out with this question. I think this thread has served it's purpose, so I'm going to close it.
