Cancelled games

Just outta curiosity... How many players need to be signed up for a game to NOT be cancelled. (Assuming 2 goalies and a captain are geared up)

Nope, it's not 12. That's not hard and fast.
The number changes depending on the game level (L1 skaters can't connect with a pass over long distances, but L5s can, and L5s have more endurance than the skating newbies, so L5s can make do with fewer skaters).
It also depends on whether or not we have goalies, how generous the rink may be on that particular day, and how zealous the skaters are about playing.
It's fluid, which is why it's not posted on the website.
Unfortunately, in canceling games we also have to remember that every decision means someone doesn't get what he wants. There are some people who are MAD that the game is canceled when they wanted to play no matter what. And there are some people who are MAD that we didn't cancel a game that had (in their opinion) too few skaters.
No matter what we do in that situation, someone will be MAD, and send an angry e-mail to JMS.
Thank you to the users who understand we are trying to do the BEST THING for the MOST PEOPLE.

@Troy: But if YOU are there, we will only need 10 players--because I know you can cover like three positions at once! :-D

I'm sorry I forgot to watch this thread more closely. I was just being a bum and attempting to get this thread a little attention and a bump.
