Wanted to play at Jr High level, but support at home non-exsistant. Taught myself to skate at the local outdoor rink. Had HS buddies who wanted just to play, so we rented our own ice time, mostly at Roseville. The 80 Olympics really lit the fire under us - a classmate's brother was on the team. Teammates kept moving out-of-state, other things took my attention away from the ice. I caught this news story about a group called JMS. I could take my time getting into the nets again, and play as much as I'd like. Playing with a bunch of people just because they enjoyed hockey sounded perfect, so...
