Hello, my name is Guy Potvin. Remember that because we'll come back to it. I started playing with JMS in 2010 after a coworker introduced me to it. I originally was only going to play once a month because I played in a church league also. Well long story short I stopped playing with the church league about a month in and started doing JMS 2-3 times per week. Within my first 50 games I was asked to be a captain. Some think it's an easy job. It's hard to remember all the names of the people you've played with. Do you remember my name (Look Up)? Many players will see my name on the roster and think some French Canadian is coming to play. Then I walk into the locker room and they have a surprised look. I look more like Richard Park (Korean). Some players get me mixed up with Kanan. I ask them when they're playing with him next and tell them to call him Guy. Feel free to call me Gee (French pronunciation of Guy) but only when I'm on the ice. • I was asked about my favorite sports team. I don't have one in the traditional sense. I like the Wild but I'll watch any hockey. I'll watch the Vikings if I have nothing else to do. Baseball and Basketball are too slow. • Favorite JMS memory: There are a couple. My first hat trick. I strained my groin to get the third goal. o In 2016 I took a puck to the teeth. That weekend I replaced the half shield with a full cage. Some of you are wondering if it was a shot. I was playing D and was holding the blueline. Puck deflected up into my teeth. Yes- I held the blueline with my teeth. How many teeth? 5! Do I have a picture? Yes! I could keep going on with who I am but I'm horrible at typing. So, If you want to see the Korean with the French-Canadian name come play a game. New players are my favorite!
