Hi folks, I'm keeping an eye on things. ***NO CHANGES TO JMS AT THIS TIME. I've been talking to rinks and keeping an eye on the Minnesota Hockey guidelines, story below. Questions for me? Please send a message to support. I can't monitor this thread for back-and-forth conversations. But someone is always on the support line. Yours in hand-washing, BG Minnesota Hockey’s Recommendations Regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19) By Minnesota Hockey, 03/10/20, 2:30PM CDT With the significant concern associated with the spread of the coronavirus (COVID19), Minnesota Hockey, in partnership with USA Hockey, would like to inform its members of its recommendations for upcoming Minnesota Hockey Youth State Tournaments, as well as CCM Minnesota Hockey High Performance programs. All recommendations are consistent with those provided by USA Hockey chief medical and safety officer Dr. Michael Stuart of the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Stuart is also a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation Medical Committee. Minnesota Hockey values the safety of our members above all else, and it is with that in mind that we offer the following recommendations to our players and participants in this weekend’s upcoming State Tournaments: Handshake lines before or after games should include fist bumps with gloves on. Coaches are also encouraged to refrain from shaking hands with other coaches and officials, and instead offer verbal congratulations and words of encouragement. Practice frequent and meticulous hand-washing with soap and water or alcohol-based hand rub Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands Cover your nose and mouth when coughing and/or sneezing with a tissue or flexed elbow Avoid close contact with anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms Quarantine anyone who is sick (players, coaches, parents, roommates) Ensure safe food sources; thoroughly cook meat and eggs Use individual water bottles; do not share them Towels should not be shared in any way As of today, all Minnesota Hockey activities will go on as planned. It is important to note, however, that the situation is fluid and updates will be provided as warranted. For the most up-to-date information, visit From:
