Take a look at this article about recent tests on hockey helmets. The study claimed that a quarter are unsafe. May be compare your helmet to the ones on the list. I bought a Messier M11 a couple of years ago (made by Cascade) because of its claims of reducing concussions. I didn't see that one on the list.

As a follow-up to my comment about the Messier M11 ("no concussion") helmet previously made by Cascade; Bauer bought the rights from Messier and Cascade for $64 million and the new Messier helmet is the Bauer IMS 7.0 which was rated a zero on the evaluation list. Wow!

You can buy the warrior krown360 for 60$ on hockey monkey. It's the only helmet that even got 3 stars!
